Message from the Chairman of the Scientific Committee

Witnessing the growth of The Boys' and Girls' Clubs Association of Hong Kong (BGCA) and its contribution in promoting child health in the past few decades, we are so proud to celebrate with BGCA its 80th Anniversary this year. On behalf of the Organizing Committee, I am delighted to welcome you all to the BGCA 80th Anniversary Scientific Conference that will take place from October 7 to 8, 2016. This regional conference: "Invest in our Young for a Brighter Tomorrow" will be held at the Yasumoto International Academic Park, The Chinese University of Hong Kong, Shatin, Hong Kong.

We are honored to have renowned overseas scholars joining with local experts together in this conference and share their valuable experience in childhood interventions, in particular on the delivery of evidence-based service models. Through the rich and well-structured content of this symposium, we would explore the direction of our future services and shape the development of children and youth programmes in coming decades. Meanwhile, the advanced scientific knowledge and practical hand-on skills acquired could help to pave our way into the future and equip us to take the challenges of a new era.

Our exciting program composes of keynote speeches and plenary lectures delivered by the world leading scholars, as well as a series of wide-ranged interactive seminars and intervention workshops conducted by experts and leaders in the field. Due to an expected overwhelming response, please be reminded to register now and enjoy the privilege of early bird registration.

Really looking forward to meeting you in this memorable event!

Dr. Patrick IP
